## Overview

Keystone Gateway is an offline-capable licensing authority for Particle Horizon products. It verifies a signed Gateway license locally and grants time-bounded component capacity to product installations.

## Start here

1.  Read [prerequisites](https://portal.cjcit.io/knowledge-base/keystone_gateway/0.2/getting-started/prerequisites/), then [install a standalone Gateway](https://portal.cjcit.io/knowledge-base/keystone_gateway/0.2/deployment/standalone/).
2.  Obtain the logical node identity and install a signed license using [licensing](https://portal.cjcit.io/knowledge-base/keystone_gateway/0.2/getting-started/licensing/).
3.  Configure the service from the [canonical configuration reference](https://portal.cjcit.io/knowledge-base/keystone_gateway/0.2/configuration/reference/).
4.  Connect products with [PHOCOL](https://portal.cjcit.io/knowledge-base/collector/) or [LMC Exporter](https://portal.cjcit.io/knowledge-base/lmc_exporter/).
