Version 0.17.0 expands application monitoring coverage with support for RTC runtime metrics, alongside improvements to licence handling and metric reliability.
What’s New
RTC Monitoring Support
This release adds support for exporting RTC runtime metrics through the existing lmc_exporter application.
Customers using RTC components can now collect additional operational metrics covering areas such as:
- SSL connections and services
- Consumer and server data streams
- Service and server activity
- IPC and RIPC communications
- DACS connectivity
- Latency monitoring
- Thread and user activity
- Recovery and distribution services
These metrics are exposed through the existing Prometheus endpoint and can be filtered using the application’s standard metric filtering configuration.
Improvements
Improved ADS Metrics
Duplicate ADS trace metrics have been corrected to prevent conflicting or duplicate Prometheus series.
This improves compatibility with Prometheus and reduces the likelihood of duplicate-series warnings during metric collection.
RPM Upgrade Handling
RPM package version handling has been improved so that pre-release packages correctly upgrade to the corresponding final release.
For example, a 0.17.0-beta installation will now correctly recognise 0.17.0 as the newer package.
Upgrade Notes
There are no intentional breaking configuration changes in this release.
Existing deployments can upgrade using the standard installation or package upgrade process.
RTC metrics will only be exposed where the corresponding RTC runtime components are available on the monitored system.
